About

Hello! I’m Wendy, an author and marketer with a passion for storytelling.

Growing up, words were my passport to uncharted territories. Historical epics fuelled my imagination, and credit goes to my dad – a Dean Koontz and Stephen King enthusiast – for introducing me to the thrilling realms of mystery and horror. King, with his mastery, remains a constant source of inspiration.

My journey through magazine publishing, newspapers, and marketing agencies has been a tapestry of diverse subjects – from floristry to business acquisitions. Creatively, I cut my teeth on scripts and plays, with ‘We Agreed’ making its mark at the Lowry. This dark tale kickstarted my love affair with characters existing in the grey areas between right and wrong.

Now, my creative energy flows into crafting modern-day crime stories, with DI Robin Scott taking centre stage in the vibrant and historical tourist town of Broadstone.

Beyond the keyboard, I immerse myself in gritty crime thrillers, savour moments with my family, or explore the nooks of a castle. Oh, and Ernie, my French bulldog, occasionally challenges me in a game of object retrieval. Life’s an adventure – both on and off the page.
